Night Receptionists needed in busy 4 Star Hotel : Westminster, London

We are currently looking for Receptionists for night shifts in our Front Office Department. As a Night Receptionist you will need to demonstrate your ability to think on your feet, remain calm and controlled and above all have the determination to ensure all our guests receive the hospitality experience we demand. The Receptionist role is crucial to the hotel and the successful candidate will be able to influence and challenge the current/future status quo to improve ways of working and lead by example. If you think you should be our new Receptionist please consider the key requirements below: • Speak fluent English. • Pro-actively anticipate guest’s needs, and fulfill all written and verbal requests promptly in a courteous and helpful manner. • To be fully conversant and able to operate the hotel’s front office systems, Opera. Experience with Fidelio is acceptable too. • Ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the guests bills following the standard procedures. • To be aware of the hotel availability and to take every opportunity to maximise room sales is taken. • To deal with cash, cheque and credit transactions in accordance with the hotel and company policy, and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately. • To ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible. • Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained. • Be able to deal with VIP’s and ensuring all regular guests are recognised and welcomed back. The ideal candidate for the role of Night Receptionist will have experience in a busy 300+ bedrooms hotel.
