Strathpeffer Pavilion Receptionist 9 month Fixed Term Contract 30 hours per week – Exact times to be confirmed £7.62 per hour Strathpeffer Spa Pavilion, The Square, Strathpeffer, Ross-shire IV14 9DL Strathpeffer Pavilion is a charity and company limited by guarantee which runs the restored Pavilion as a multi-purpose venue in the centre of a Highland village. The Pavilion was built in the 1880s and restored by the community. It has been operating for nine years with substantial financial help from The Highland Council. It aims to be self-sustaining and provide a mix of artistic and commercial events including live music, the arts, weddings and conferences. We are looking for an experienced, welcoming and efficient Receptionist to greet visitors, sell tickets, and carry out various admin tasks as required. This job will be situated in the newly refurbished Front of House. Purpose of Job: To provide a Front of House reception service with associated administrative activities to support the sustainability and profitability of the organisation Principal Accountabilities 1. To greet visitors to the Pavilion; give information about the Pavilion, events; sell tickets 2. To keep a tally of visitors and their reason for visiting the Pavilion 3. Provide timely and appropriate response to telephone calls and the ‘enquiries’ e-mail address to maximise effective communication. 4. Handle incoming and outgoing mail to support Pavilion activities. 5. Maintain document and press archive to ensure old documents can easily be retrieved. 6. Order stationery, office supplies and cleaning materials to maintain adequate supplies. 7. Provide administrative support as required by sending out booking forms, taking minutes and action plans from weekly meetings to support operational activities. 8. Update Ansaphone message as appropriate to enhance communication with external contacts. Position Requirements/Person Specification Secondary level education Experience, ideally in public and private sectors, covering administrative activities and customer contact Basic financial understanding Self-sufficient in IT skills Evidence of drive and commitment Evidence of attention to detail Ability to work effectively within a team Commitment to raising work standards and achieving improved levels of performance Exceptional level of interpersonal skills and customer focus
